Winshkah Energy is an energy drink brand that I came up with for my second packaging class. We had to design labels for food or drink packaging and we had to tie it into our culture which I found really fun. “Winshkah” means “Wake-up” in Cree, I really liked that name while I was brainstorming and decided to use that as a base for the illustrations. The illustrations are based off Cree and Inuit folk art and the flavors are based off slang that you would hear around the rez.
